Editing attempt #2

I loved the picture below, but thought it was too dark.  So I attempted to brighten a layer in elements.  I like how it came out, but don't love it.  If you have any recommendations please let me know.  And I know the best recommendation is to get it right the first time in the camera :)  I did fix the settings and get a little bit better pictures as I kept shooting, but this picture had her cute smile.
