I love this cute face!!
She must be growing bigger and bigger today.  She slept for an hour and half this morning (which is usual) then decided to sleep for another two and a half hours this afternoon (most of the time she doesn't sleep at all in the afternoon.  She was pooped!!

Just sitting here reading a book :)

Tonight we were lucky enough to visit with our big cousins for the evening.  Harper is trying so hard to keep up with her big cousins now that she is walking around :)  Just a couple steps behind.

Harper and I have been taking a walk every morning that we are home and it has been wonderful.  We live in a very beautiful and peaceful area!

Don't mind the bandaid/bruises on her head :)

So after the peaceful start to our day we had ANOTHER crash.  Once again on Kurt's watch -- haha :) I came home from work today and Kurt just kept saying just remember she is fine -- uh oh - what happened :)

This was a crawling accident and I am actually surprised it did not happen sooner.  She gets going and her legs go faster than her arms and her little face crashes right into the floor.  It has happened quite a bit -- well somehow today was the day she smashed her lip and it is pretty big and poufy.

So not only does she have a bump and cut on her forehead, she also has a fat bloody lip now.  I know we are only in for many more bumps and bruises -- but aieyiaiey :)

This is a cheat picture -- it was from yesterday :)

Today was a big day but we do not have any pictures as it was a little hectic.  Harper took her first true couple steps yesterday and is walking more and more.  Well with steps comes boo boos!  Today she took a digger and fell down the two steps on our front porch right onto the rocks at the bottom.  Kurt was a half a step behind but couldn't catch her.  It led to quite a gash on her forehead - we thought we may have to go get stitches but it stopped bleeding quickly -- after a popsicle she was happy as a clam, so we watched it and she is just fine.  Just wanted to scare us a little bit :)  I will try my hardest to get pictures of the cut tomorrow :)

Bike Riding with our new Helmet!

We found a helmet to fit little little heads :) (or so we thought)

The first picture is the start of our trip.

The second picture is about 5 minutes into our trip.
I believe the helmet may still be a little big for her head :)  She is not sleeping, just hanging out with the helmet over her face.  Funny thing is she did not cry or fuss, just sat there quietly until we noticed that it was over her eyes.  -- Goofball :)

After a second try of adjusting the helmet we gave up the helmet for this bike ride, but she would not let go of it the whole ride.  In fact the only time she was fussy was when she dropped the helmet and couldn't reach it.  So hopefully she will keep it on once we get it all figured out.

What a wonderful Saturday!

After lunch today Harper and I decided to go strawberry picking before the season is over.  It may not look like it in the picture below but she had a great time.  We picked (well I picked) 4 quarts of strawberries.  If it wasn't so hot and it wasn't just the two of us we would have picked more, but she did great for 4 quarts and we decided not to push it :)  She did eat a few along the way, I think if she would have been out of the stroller she would have eaten all four quarts and more :)  She loves them!  Well after an hour of being outside on this hot, hot day (even in the shade) Harper was HOT!  So the plan was supposed to be come home and get Kurt to go for a bike ride.  We decided to switch that plan up a little bit and go to the pool instead.  It was terrific, late in the afternoon the pool clears out and it is half price -- perfect for us!

Harper loved sticking her hand in the water spray and making it go everywhere!  And the water was nice and chilly -- a perfect way to cool off!!

What a perfect way to spend a Saturday!!

June 21st, 2013

We went out to dinner tonight at Haywood on the Water.  It seemed like the first night out to dinner in a long time and it was terrific.  We sat outside on the deck overlooking the river and as Kurt mentioned--it felt like we were on vacation.  After dinner we walked down to the docks for a little bit and Harper would have loved to jump right into the water.

We went to the pool today with Tyson and had a great time!!

June 19th, 2013

We had a little spaghetti sensory play today outside in our mini pool.  I cooked up some spaghetti (tried to dye it blue) and dumped it in our pool for Harper to play with.  At first she was a little apprehensive, but then she had a blast (after I added a little water to make it extra slimey and fun).  I started picking up handfuls and placing it on her leg, then her back, and then her head.  She would just crack up whenever I placed it on her.  We had a great time!!

Just hanging out in our new pool.  Not exactly what I would think as a terrific new pool, but Harper sure loves it :) hahaha.  Maybe in many many years (or dreams) down the road we will get a big pool as well.

Peanut Butter and Mangos for lunch.
Yummy Yummy!

But it does make for quite a messy lunch.  She had a layer of slime covering everything within her reach :)

Yucky Rainy Day :(

It had been yucky and dreary all day.  We were all getting a little restless being cooped up inside so we decided a little sprinkles wouldn't hurt us.  We stripped the kids down to their diapers and headed outside to play in the rain.  Best toy in the rain is more water.  As you can see we were busy filling up the water table and the girls didn't care, they were happy just playing with the wet cooler top.

Splashing in the cooler water

Waving Hi!

Harper loves sipping up the water and then spitting it back out like a fountain.  It is fine when we are outside, but a big pain when we are inside :)

Ellary having fun with the hose.

Time to take a bath -- the girls had a great time taking a bath together!

Trip to the Zoo

We met up with our good friends and took a trip to the Detroit Zoo.  It was terrific!  We had a great time looking at the polar bears, giraffes, gorillas, peacocks, zebras, birds and butterflys.  I think Harpers favorites were the butterfly's.  Maybe because they were so close to us.  Either way we had a terrific time and can't wait to go back again!

Becca and Griffin checking out the gorillas.  They were very active for us!

Wide Eyed Wonder :)

Harper and Griffin having a great time at the fountain in the butterfly exhibit.

Mommy and Harper sitting on the butterfly bench.

Harper and Griffin.

Trying really hard to get a picture of the kiddos on the butterfly bench.

Harper in the seal exhibit.  The exhibit is a tunnel were the seals can swim all around you.  It is really neat!

Harper just being beautiful :)

June 9th, 2013

Ellary received a new kitchen set for her birthday and the girls loved playing with it.  Harper especially loved the phone!

I love this picture of Ellary :)

We also took a trip to IKEA today.  Grandma Birdie was holding Harper when they went by this bin of fake animal skin rugs (at least I think thats what they were).  She had a feeling Harper would enjoy playing in it and boy did she ever.  I had to sneak over and try to catch a picture of her laying in the rugs :)
