Bath time mohawk flashback!

So alike and so different!!

Harper got sick last night in the middle of the night :( But you would have no clue by her actions!! In fact when she called me in her room at 4 in the morning she was not crying, she just wanted a tissue because she was drooling -- her words not mine. I couldn't understand what the stinky smell was, I checked her diaper, got her tissues and then realized that she threw up all over the place :( YUCKO!! So nothing like a bath and sheet change at 4 in the morning. Anyways even at 4 am she was ready to party -- not a sick girl in her mind. But we stayed home all day thinking I had a sick girl on my hands when in reality she was bouncing off the walls (still sick as she didn't eat much and had a belly ache) but bouncing off the walls. So we pulled out everything we could think of and one of those things was shaving cream!! I forgot how exciting shaving cream can be! And as with every sensory experience Harper tried to cover her whole body - luckily I was able to stop her at her elbows. Maybe one day in the summer I will just let her have at it!! She sure loves to get messy!

Slime Time

It has been a while since we have pulled out the slime living in the back of our fridge -- that is a really weird statement - but true :)

We made slime a while ago and kept in the fridge it lasts forever :) So no it is not refrigerator slime -- just regular good old slime :) We decided to add a little blue watercolor paint to change it into all new slime :)

We took a trip to a place called The Well today. It is like a super big, clean, inside McDonald's play place. But to be able to go we had to leave at lunch time and play during nap time --pushing back nap times to dinner time. That is something we never do!! But considering we never do it, I decided we should try it and see :) Overall it wasn't too bad -- no major meltdowns :)

But if you notice the picture of Harper she decided there were quite a few good places for a rest :) She definitely ran around a good chunk of time, but she really needs her nap!!

My new favorite picture :)

Just recently I was thinking it has been a long time since I have gotten behind the camera - which is why we went on a spree in the last couple days trying to set up the tripod and getting me in the pictures as well. I try to do this every month at some point because I know my girls will love to look back and see pictures of mommy one day. I don't want to be missing in all of them :) Well Harper loves pushing the button so sometimes she gets to take our picture. Here is one she took and I love it!!

Riley Bear Picture time :)

Riley is a mommy's girl through and through. She will cry and cry in anybody else's arms, but the second I pick her up she stops. She is my little cuddle bug!! So I figured we should take some fun self portraits, the two of us :) And I included a few outtakes for you -- my favorite may be the one where she is trying to eat me :) haha

Harper and Riley 1st bath together!

Usually I give Riley a quick scrub and then she comes out and Harper jumps in. Well Harper has really really been wanting to join Riley so I figured we could finally give it a try :) Harper loved it!! And I think Riley enjoyed it quite a bit as well!!

Last pictures from the weekend.

Throughout the weekend Harper went on a couple of the BIG water slides with us. Any of the tube rides that we could take a double tube on she went -- and some of them were pretty fast and dark!! She was very brave!! I was able to get just a couple pictures of Harper and Kurt flying out of the "Big Kahuna"!! And right after them came Ellary and Uncle Gabe.

My favorite pictures are the ones towards the end -- if you look close Harper is sucking her thumb and her vest is unbuttoned so she can reach her belly. She was pooped and all she wanted was to reach her belly, so Kurt helped her reach her belly while they sat there. She is a goofball -- the sleepier she gets, the more she NEEDS her belly!
