Party Time!!
Today was Riley's First Birthday Party!  It was a super special day!!  We went with a Rainbow Bear theme and everything turned out perfect!  We have always called Riley our Riley Bear and Harper has really elaborated on it by calling us Mommy Bear, Daddy Bear, Harper Bear and Riley Bear so I thought we should have some matching shirts :)

We had lots of visitors all the way from Michigan!  Uncle Gabe, Aunt Jackie, Ellary, Birdie and Pop all came in to visit for the weekend as well as our PA family and a few friends.  The weather was beautiful and we had lots of colorful rainbow food!!

Happy Birthday Riley Bear!  We love you!!

Happy Birthday Riley!!

We are having a big celebration on Saturday so today we just had a dinner with Birdie and Pop, but we couldn't let the day go by without some sort of celebration.  So last minute I grabbed a mini chocolate cupcake out of the freezer, added a little frosting and she loved it.  Problem was she was up all night from 11-3 bouncing off the walls.  Chocolate was a BAD idea!!!

Oh well :)  Happy Birthday Cutey!!

I don't know if anyone actually got clean in this bath but they had a great time!

So our Riley Bear has had quite a month!
She started with a trip to the ER for a trapped hernia, which led to double hernia surgery and a cyst in her forehead being removed.  Three days after that she got a fever which led the doctors to try what seemed like every test possible!  Blood tests, urine tests (I stopped them before the chest X-ray).  Then the fever broke and we were doing better and our big sister decided to fool around with us :(  That led to the bump of all bumps!! The incision on her head ballooned up to the size of a golfball!! It was huge!! Well of course a big goose egg above your eye will eventually turn into a black eye :)  So I decided we needed to roll with it!  I tried to turn her into our little boxer and take some pictures :)  They didn't quite turn out how I was thinking as her eye is healing remarkably well and Daddy was gone while this happened so trying to take pictures with two cranky kids around wasn't the easiest :)  But she is our little fighter and wouldn't you know she now has a molar coming in.  Poor kid can't get a break!
