This is how we travel -- nose in a good book.

She sure loves to read, she will spend a good 15 minutes flipping through each book. Once in a while she will even have a very loud conversation with the characters in the book. It is quite funny to listen too -- but if she catches you listening it is all over.

We found a xylophone at goodwill today that Harper absolutely loved. So we picked it up and she loved it so much she fell asleep in the car still holding on to it.

Another great day to go swimming in the creek. I am definitely a pool girl myself, but I must say it is pretty fun playing in the creek -- and since Harper loves the rocks and water it keeps her occupied quite nicely.

My only complaint with my new camera is that I can't flip it around and take a picture of just Harper and I when we are out and about. So to fix that I bought a remote control for my camera. It doesn't mean I can turn the camera around, but it does mean I can take pictures of us more often. Here is our first attempt. It worked pretty well, but it is going to take some figuring out.

A little late, but we got in our 1 year pictures with our stickers. We made it every month!! One of these days I will pull them all together so we can see every month of this little ladies 1st year.

Today was a fun day at home! We decided to finally get out those finger paints. She did not dislike them, but she also did not want to sit very long in the high chair. It was fun while it lasted, but I am pretty sure it took me longer to set up than for her to get messy. Oh well it was a good time and we will do it again. And after we got messy it was time for a noodle bath :) I cut up a bunch of cheap pool noodles and we were waiting for a special bath time to use them. Today seemed as good of a day as any -- wow was Harper excited. I dumped them in the tub before I filled the tub up with water and she was beside herself with excitement trying to climb in the tub. She LOVED it!! We will definitely be doing lots more noodle baths!! You can tell by the last picture she was bummed to come out :)

PARTY TIME!!

Today was the big party and after a rocky start it turned out perfect!! We were not sure if we were even going to have a party because once again we ran out of water in our well. But a little girl only turns one once and she is very well loved so we pulled it together and had a terrific party!! Unfortunately due to the water issues we did miss our big cousin Ellary but we will celebrate together in August!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARPER!!

A whole year has gone by in the flash of an eye -- I can't believe it!! We are so lucky to have one super special amazing little girl and she is so lucky to be loved by so many friends and family!!

To celebrate we went up to State College for the People's Choice Festival with Birdie and Pops. It was a perfect way to spend a first birthday. We played in the kid section for a long time and even went into the petting zoo. Harper loved chasing after the animals, but when they turned around and came towards her she had a fit. It was hilarious!

Big day of blueberry picking and creek swimming!!

We started at our house picking blueberries on our couple trees. Our little blueberry monster was double fisting blueberries and hoarding them as fast as she could. Considering we only have a couple trees and we usually eat all of the blueberries we pick within days of picking them, we decided to go pick some at a u-pick farm. So we went to a farm were we could see rows and rows of blueberries. I pushed Harper through the rows while I picked and she figured out the whole system pretty quickly. She would pick right from her stroller and pop them right in her mouth! After picking we decided to go dip our feet in the creek and she loved it!! A couple of her favorite things -- rocks and water -- she LOVED it!! It was a terrific day!
