Family Easter Picture

Daddy and Baby

Mommy and Baby

Harper's dress is extra special and beautiful as it is a hand-me-down from the flower girls at our wedding.  My sister-in-law made it for her youngest and we just realized last night that it was the perfect size for Harper right now.  What a perfect Easter dress!  I am so glad she was able to wear it -- we will definitely have to do another photo shoot to get some more pictures of her pretty dress.

BONUS Picture -- Queen Harper!!

Queen Harper pondering all of the tough decisions that Queen's are faced with.

Beautiful Day in PA!!

It was a wonderful sunny, warm day so we thought we would go out for our first bike ride of the year.  It was terrific!!  We tried out our new bike trailer as well and we LOVE it!  It took us a little bit of figuring to get used to it.  Just getting the straps and the temperature all figured out.  Turns out Harper loves the breeze blowing in her hair :)  We had a great time and will definitely be using it a lot this summer.  Now if Spring would just officially get here so we could use it more often that would be helpful!

While daddy was putting the bikes on the car we got our first big chance to check out grass.  The initial reaction was this stuff is pokey and hurts, but after a second we figured out it was pretty cool.  We started picking at it with two little fingers just feeling the texture and after five minutes we were double fisting it trying to see how it tastes.  It is all right getting one or two pieces of grass away from her mouth, the whole field is another thing :)

Different Perspective

March 28th, 2013

We are getting our butt up there in an attempt to crawl, but we still prefer our army crawl for the actual movement part of our crawl.  But don't let that fool you, she can still move with the army crawl.

Pretty girl standing up on her own.  These pictures are a little deceiving as she is not that sturdy standing up by herself, but she can do it.  I just happened to snap the picture at the right time.  And on top of that I just love her little smile and her overalls :)

I also love this picture from today.  Deep in thought while eating Cheerios.  Yes, she is finally eating actual solid food beyond just puree.  For the longest time (and still a little bit now) whenever she eats anything solid -- puffs, cheerios, yogurt melts etc. -- she would gag herself.  So we waited and kept trying every once in a while.  Then she took up the lovely habit of carefully picking up the fluffy's off of our carpet and eating those.  So I thought maybe we should try again with cheerios rather than carpet fluffy's.  This time it seems to be working better.  So hopefully we will eat more Cheerios than carpet fluffy's from now on :)

This is how fun bath time is in our household.  Biggest goofy grin ever.  While you are checking out that smile look at those two teeth coming in on top.

Look who is a big girl pulling herself up on things.  She has been lifting her butt up in the air with her toes and hands on the ground.  She still isn't crawling that way, she likes her army scoot, but she is getting stronger and stronger.

Harper's big cousins love holding her.  Since she was a baby they have been so good about sitting on a couch or chair and holding their baby cousin so carefully.  Well now it is no longer carefully holding her, it is more like holding on for dear life trying to not let her wriggle away :)

Here is her biggest cousin holding tight, giving her a big squeeze :)

Waking up is hard to do!

We left Florida today and had to get to an 8:00 am flight.  Doesn't sound too early until you combine getting there two hours early, getting to the rental car place and the fact that Harper decided to get up at 4:30am to eat.  We originally planed to get up at 5:15 - so close enough :)  After 4:30 I did put her back down to sleep and she did not want to get up.  It was closer to 5:45 when she woke up and that was after we did everything in our power to wake her up in the hotel room.

Grandpa's Memorial Brick

My Grandparents have lived in Sun n Lakes in Sebring Florida for a very long time.  After Grandpa passed away my Grandma arranged for a brick in his memorial to be placed on this little square behind the Country Club.  We went for a lovely dinner at the Club and then had to go and check out Grandpa's brick.  It was really special.

Party Time!

Happy 90th Birthday Grandma!!!

The whole reason we went to Florida was to celebrate my Grandma's 90th birthday.  The party was today and it was a huge success!  We all had a great time, but most importantly Grandma had a terrific time!!

Thank you to everyone who came and made the day a terrific success!

Enjoying the Florida Sunshine!
Oh how I already miss the warm, sunny weather.  As we sit here it is 27 degrees outside here in PA :(  Spring needs to get here really really quick and bring summer not to far behind :)

Hanging out at the Park in warm, sunny Florida :)

We had our first swing ride.  We enjoyed it, but weren't exactly sure what was going on.  She was also very tired, I am pretty sure if we would have stayed a little while longer she would have fallen asleep in the swing.

I love this picture of the two of them.
Just hanging out with Daddy :)

1st Plane Ride!!

She did terrific!!  We went to Florida this past week and it involved flying.  We did not buy a seat since she was under two and we did not have too, but we lucked out with an empty seat and they allowed us to bring her carseat on.  It was super nice that Frontier allowed us to bring our carseat on and use it, but we were not allowed to put her in the carseat for takeoff or landing.  I imagine if we had bought the seat we would be required to have her in it for takeoff and landing.  But if she was not in our arms she would be a ticketed passenger which would throw off the count.  I just wish laws and rules would not always come before common sense and safety.  But anyways--she did terrific :)

And while we are not crawling up on all fours we are really really close!! Here is a shot while we were waiting to board.  One day very very soon she is going to takeoff!!

Playing Peekaboo with the shower curtain while we were trying to pack for Florida :)

March 11th, 2013 BONUS PICTURE :)

Snot Nose :)

So with the top two teeth coming in today we are a snot/slobber waterfall.  It is crazy and gross.  When I try to wipe her nose/face it sends us into a crying fit that sounds like the world is ending.  But mean mommy that I am, I still wipe it whenever I can.

Today as we were trying to pack for our trip the waterfall started running and I could not stop laughing.  Somehow Harper managed to blow a snot bubble and it was huge.  Of course I had to take a picture of it.  And since you can't really tell what is going on in the first picture, I zoomed in for you :)

Hopefully these teeth will poke through so that this snot waterfall stops.  But I imagine we get to look forward to this for all of the teeth.  Yeah.

Happy 8 Months!!

Recap of milestones to this day.

I have my two bottom teeth all the way in.
My top teeth are breaking through right now.
I can get anywhere I want to go with an army crawl/scoot motion.
I am beginning to push up on my arms to lift my big belly off the floor.
I eat three solid meals a day and LOVE eating.
Well pretty much LOVE anything in my mouth including vitamins, toothpaste, and of course all of my toys and shoes.
I love talking and babbling.
My hair keeps growing longer and longer!
I love my Mommy and Daddy!
And love giggling at silly Daddy.

March 10th, 2013

Another warm day, not super sunny, but we will take it anyways :)  With spring in the air we had to get outside again so this time we went for a different walk.  Daddy carried and we went up the hill.  The perfect thing to distract us from our grumpiness as we are getting in our top two teeth and this seems to be worse than the first two.  She has also turned into a snot and slobber factory so daddy's sweatshirt was covered when we got back :)

March 9th, 2013

Spring is on its way!

We finally had a nice warm sunny day, I think it got up to 55 degrees, so we went out for a walk.  It was terrific!  Harper enjoyed it so much she slept most of the way.  It was wonderful having the sun warm your face for a change.  Can't wait for Spring to fully get here, we are ready!!

Pretty Girl :)

March 7th, 2013

Having a photo lull -- We are sick and tired of taking pictures inside -- we are ready for warm sunny weather so we can get outside.  Luckily we are headed to Florida next week where hopefully we can enjoy the sunshine and lots of family. Which by the way, I promise I will keep taking pictures, but I will not be posting them until we get back.

The sweet innocent I could do nothing wrong look.

The AHHH I am running this show -- listen to me face!!!!!

March 5th, 2013

Who doesn't love hanging out in the laundry basket :)  I didn't think it would entertain her for five minutes --- it probably would have lasted longer had I not moved it into the other room.

March 4th, 2013

Harper is the queen of zurberts or raspberries.  She loves to make that noise all the time, when we are walking down the aisle at the grocery store, when we are training clients at the gym, or when we are playing with mommy and daddy.  Here I caught her mid-zurbert :)

Visit from Birdie and Pop

My parents came for a visit this weekend.  It was definitely a quick trip, we blinked and it was over, but luckily we all get to see each other again in Florida in a few weeks.  It was such a quick trip that I found I did not take many pictures, but here is one of each of them with Harper.

And here is a picture of the amazing bread that my dad made from scratch.  As you can see it looks exactly like the picture with the recipe.  It is a honey apple challah bread and it was YUMMY!
