Day 2 of vacation!
Last night a thunderstorm rolled through and I was up the whole time worrying but Harper slept through the whole thing.  I have no idea how she slept through it but she did and that is all that matters. Today we got up and went straight over to our favorite cider mill.  Luckily it was open even though it is still summer as I am not quite ready to accept fall yet.  But anyways, we headed over and they were making cider which is a rarity to see so it was our lucky day.  We had some delicious right out of the oven cider donuts and some yummy cider before we headed back for naps.  After that we went for another beach trip, this time we decided to take her to a smaller beach that was an inlet so there weren't any waves.  She had another great time and then we went to a favorite restaurant of Mommy's for some lobster!!  We also met another old friend at the restaurant to catch up.  The restaurant is laid back, outside picnic tables and awesome seafood.  After we were done eating while the boys chatted Harper wandered around and I am pretty sure she greeted every single person eating at the restaurant.  Good thing people in Connecticut are sweet and loved having her run around.

On the 2nd we packed up the car, visited our friends and their new baby and then drove home so I did not take any pictures.  But to wrap up the trip of course the third night of camping we had a storm of all storms roll through.  The first thunder crack I jumped a mile high and Harper didn't even budge, then it POURED rain so loud that it sounded like a freight train coming through the tent and once again Harper slept and slept.  It rained so hard that it started coming in through the tent so we rearranged our bed so we were mainly out of the rain, but Harper was sleeping so we did not move her.  Well finally after the storm rolled through and it was quite, Harper woke up.  When I picked her up she was soaked, poor thing was probably getting wet the whole time.  But being a trooper that she was we all snuggled for a few minutes and back to bed she went to sleep the rest of the night.  She is the best little camper!!
