Busy Busy Day!

Today we painted with a paper towel heart stamper, then made a tissue paper heart suncatcher, followed by a nap, then coloring in a box.  It may not sound like much but it was a pretty jam packed day!!

My first Jamberry nail attempt- I think it came out pretty nice!  They are basically a sticker that you put on your nail and it lasts for a full week without chipping, flaking or anything.  It was supposed to last ten days, but I will take a full week!  They also have lots of fun colors!  I think in March I am going to have a party (they are sold just like tupperware :) )

Snow Day!
We finally got about 6 or 7 inches of snow - and then a fun layer of ice on top of it :(  But it was also not a million below zero so we could head outside and actually enjoy the snow.  This time we decided to bring out a spray bottle with some blue water in it and Harper loved it, we had to spray everything!!  We tried making a snowman, but a mini one was all we could get to stick together.  We did make him a blue house to live in as well.  Then she decided she wanted to switch hats with mommy and mommy's hat was way to big for her little head.  That did not stop her from wearing it even when we were back inside.  She looks like my little hobo child :)

The picture above is a lovely documentation of the result of Harper vs the wall -- I have to say even with the big bruise on her forehead Harper definitely won!  There is a dent in the drywall from where her head hit.  That was the other night - the bruise is just really forming into a lovely color - this picture doesn't even really show all the color :)

We tried taking self portraits today -- it was an attempt that is about all I can say.  We had a hard time getting things in focus and lots of time running back and forth which is out of the bathtub and then back in again.  Yeah - the best winter lighting seems to be in our bathroom in the tub :)

Chocolate Cloud Dough!!

I HIGHLY recommend this dough to anyone with kids -- it was super easy to make and Harper loved it.  She played with it for over an hour and a half.  We got the recipe off of a fun website called Growing a Jeweled Rose -  here is the link to her recipe - Chocolate Cloud Dough.  They also said that it lasts forever so you can put it away and bring it out next year if you want.  It is soft and squishy and moldable and smells like chocolate -- how wonderful is that!!!  We added some dollar store hearts, some measuring cups and spoons and we had a terrific afternoon!!  It also vacuums up nice and easy in case any spills over - which is pretty much a definite!! :)

Fun afternoon of SLIME :)  While Harper was sleeping today I whipped up a batch of winter snow slime and chocolate cloud dough.  We decided to play with the slime today and it was lots of fun!!  Took us a while to get used to the crazy texture but then we loved it.  We also love throwing in random impromptu "Head, Shoulder's, Knees and Toes song"  which is why we ended up with slime all stuck in our hair -- oops :)  Oh well, it was a fun afternoon!  Chocolate Cloud Dough for another day!!

The cold is making us stir crazy so we decided to get out some of our fancy new watercolors and paint some fun Valentine's Hearts.  It was just the pick me up we needed.  Harper loved painting them and they are the best splash of color on the windows to cheer up this dreary weather.

Guess I should have taken an after picture of the hearts on the window to share all that cheer with you.  Maybe I will work on that :)
