Farmhouse Deconstruction

We are in the process of taking down this old farmhouse on our property. We lived there for a short while, but it was time to take it down. What makes me laugh is we were not living alone, look at the second picture -- TONS of walnuts. We had one run in with a squirrel while we were living there, but I guess we were lucky we did not have more run ins :)

She is now 100% (well maybe 99%) a happy, sturdy sitting baby :) She used to get so excited that even when she was sitting up she would just tip right over from excitement. She is now sturdy enough that she can sit wherever she wants -- doesn't mean she doesn't tip over now and then, but for the most part we are an awesome sitter now!

Quick Pix

I will admit this past week has been a light picture taking day. Somehow I have still managed to pick up the camera everyday but once. But, most of the time I take a bunch of shots on the same day and I usually have a lot of pictures to choose from. This week not so much. But anyways, I couldn't resist this hair bow at the grocery store today. It was in the clearance section - can you believe it :) I had to try it on her as soon as I got home, it is almost as big as her little head. It is cute for a quick picture, but it would never stay in more than two seconds. It is large enough to attract Harper's attention and then she wants to pull it out and eat it :) But we did get a cute picture. I will definitely try and get a few more pictures with this hairbow in them :)

I really was trying to take a self portrait, as I have read a few articles about how that is good practice. Well I was trying and someone was supposed to be sleeping, but that didn't happen so instead I pulled her into the pictures with me. I did not practice as much as I was hoping, but instead I got a fun picture with the two of us.

This picture doesn't look like much, but this picture represents about 20 minutes of independent playtime. She was happy as a clam playing with all of her toys all by herself. I quietly snuck up behind her to catch this picture.
